What is our Summe Recreation Program? ⬇
The City of Borger Summer Park Rec Program runs each year from June 2nd to July 25th. The program is free of charge and open to all children, 1st through 8th grade, in Hutchinson County. Bus transportation is available for children located inside the city limits of the City of Borger.
We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to grow and learn through meaningful experiences with positive and supportive relationships in a healthy and safe environment. The program includes activities from 8:00 AM through 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. A nutritious lunch and snack is included for all children.
Activities include time at Huber Park, the Huber Park splash pad, swimming at the Johnson Park Youth Center, several guest events, special presentations, and the Phillips 66 Engineering experience. The Borger Fire Department also interacts with the children regularly throughout the program and even brings water sometimes. (Those are just some examples of activities provided, and many other field trips and activities are provided throughout the program.)
We invite you to explore our Summer Park Rec Program and take advantage of this great opportunity for your child.
